Hello! My name is Meredith Beyer, and I have been teaching since 2003. I graduated from the University of Texas, got married, moved to California, and started my teaching career during one very busy summer. Since then, I have taught kindergarten, first grade, fourth grade, and 7th/8th grade Pre-Algebra and Algebra. I am very happy to start my third year in the Palm Crest Family.
My Beyer family includes my husband, Andrew, my son, Owen (5), my daughter, Caroline (3), and baby "Flower" (due August 27). Andrew works at JPL, and, just down the block, Caroline attends CEC. Owen is looking forward to being a Palm Crest Panther this year as he starts his school career with Kindergarten. We enjoy visits to the park, playing board games, and watching Disney movies.
My goal as a teacher this year is to meet the diverse learning needs of all of the students in Room 32. I want to use their strengths and unique perspectives to build a positive, supportive learning community in which students feel confident taking academic risks. Parent support is paramount, so I plan to contact you often to keep you involved with the happenings in our classroom. Also, please contact me if you ever have any questions, concerns, or suggestions. Together, I know we can make 4th grade a fantastic year for your child!
